Gold DofE residentials are an extra section, at Gold level only, where you take part in a residential experience primarily with new people so that you can gain new friends, skills and confidence in a safe and friendly environment. The Peak District The Peak District is a fantastic location for outdoor adventures with stunning scenery and easily accessible rocks, hills, caves and valleys to explore. Our Gold DofE Residential base is near Matlock, in the southern part of the Peak District; for camping courses we are based in the northern part of the Peak District in the village of Hope. Gold DofE Residentials This Gold DofE Residential gives you the chance to try a whole range of outdoor activities such as rock climbing, abseiling, weaselling (rock scrambling), orienteering and conservation work. All activities include our experienced and friendly instructors, so you don’t need to have done them before. You’ll enjoy a great week with a range of activities and experiences that are great fun but also look good on your CV, improving your chances of getting in to university.
