Let us organise your school outdoor activity residential in Sussex. Based at Blackland Farm, we have been organising primary school activity days and residentials since 1989. As ex-teachers ourselves we are aware of the pressures on schools and teachers, and we aim to take away all of the organisational hassle from you. Just call Harriet in our office and she will guide you through the process – it’s easy!

We are well known in the south east for the exceptionally friendly nature of our staff and the high quality of instruction, and you can be sure of a warm, friendly reception at TrekCo.

Primary schools are particularly well catered for at TrekCo – we have a wide range of activities especially suited to younger pupils, and introduce pupils in a progressive and friendly manner to the activities.

Accommodation can be camping from May to September, or indoors in dormitory style accommodation. Timetables are agreed with you; we don’t have a fixed length of course or fixed timetables – you tell us how long you want the course to be, what you want to do and we’ll organise it for you.  Some primary schools opt for ‘half timetable’ residentials to give pupils some time to relax and recuperate from the extreme activities! These aren’t exactly half timetables, but do allow for some sessions to be free and generally reduce the cost by some 20% or so – and they’re still packed with activity.

How good is the TrekCo experience? We have many schools who use us every year – in fact one primary school have been bringing Year 5 to us for 20 years now! We can supply you with references from a school near to you and we’re 100% certain that they will recommend us. TrekCo always aim to give complete satisfaction for your outdoor activity day or residential and we make that extra effort on your behalf with  the knowledge that the children need to be the main focus of everything we do – but the teachers need coffee and free wifi!

We have every accreditation and certification you need – we are approved of by every LEA in the region, hold the government licence (the AALA Licence) for outdoor activities, and in addition we have Learning Outside the Classroom accreditation and the Adventuremark badge. There’s plenty of information about everything you need for your primary school residential or day trip  in our ‘Teacher Information’ pages.

Contact Us to discuss any aspect of trips with TrekCo, or see the Schools pages for more information.
