Residential Courses in Sussex can be centre based, camping or a combination of the two. Our main venue for camping courses is Blackland Farm Guide Association Campsite near East Grinstead.

We have a site here throughout the year which has excellent toilet and shower facilities and can organise residentials of any size and duration with camping for up to 180. The site has a purpose built abseil tower, swimming pool and indoor climbing wall and has permanent orienteering and assault courses in the grounds.

Archery is also available; as are our own zip wire and high ropes courses. The location is ideal as Stone Farm Rocks and Weirwood reservoir are only two minutes’ drive down the road – these are our principal venues for rock scrambling and canoeing respectively.

As most activities are on site there is very little travelling involved once you arrive, which makes it ideal for all primary and secondary school camps. Course programmes can be tailor made to suit your needs but below is a list of activities which could be included.

Activities

TrekCo have been organising school residentials since 1989 and offer a range of courses to suit your needs.

  • We organise a trip for as many days as you need, there is no fixed period – you can organise a one-night residential or a five-night trip – it’s up to you; schools have different aims and constraints and we are able to work with these.
  • TrekCo’s residentials are organised by two former teachers who were in charge of organising trips themselves – so we know exactly what you need.
  • We comply with all of the local authorities’ requirements and are known and recommended by LEAs throughout the south east.
  • We offer school assemblies and presentations at parents’ evenings, or Powerpoint files emailed to you if you prefer.
  • We provide all instruction, meals, tents, evening activities.
  • 24 hour security on site.
  • 24 hour Instructor on duty for your needs.
  • Accommodation can be camping or indoors – camping is much more flexible; if you’d like indoor acommodation please try to book at least a year in advance.
  • We have our own 240 acre mountain bike park adjacent to Stone Farm Rocks, just ten minutes’ walk away – Deers Leap Park
